Ok everybody, I'll start off by letting u know that here on the lovely island of Barbados(where i come from) our national dish is known as cou-cou and flying fish. I'll give u all the recipe in another topic. In the meantime, don't be shy, let's hear what your national dish is:-) *

a national dish...what a novel concept. in south africa its rather hard 2 b specific about something like that with all our diverse cultures and cookin styles.i know if any1 ever did decree a national dish there would b millions upset about it *

hmmm.. I'm not sure wat the national dish of the uk will be, as it varies from region to region. I'm from somerset, and i know our local drink is cider, made from pressed apples, which are brewed into an alcoholic drink. Its refreshing on a hot summers day, espec if it is chilled, then ice cubes added. *

i am from texas but i am of mexican heritage n my dish would have to be munedo it is a soup with chilli powder or paste hmony n cow stomach *
